Better:

(2) They complimented her on her culinary skill of Thai cuisine.
(3) He doesn't eat fish because of the fishy smell.
(4) She likes to boast about/of her capability of work in the office.
Better:
She likes to boast of her capability of doing office work.
(5) Do you plan to go on /for your holidays this year?
(6) Peter has told me that you have been to Turkey for a few years. / Peter told me that you had been to Turkey a few years ago. How are your holidays over there?
(9) You have a bias towards the two sons.
(10) I declined his invitation on the pretext of illness.
