I saw a man pursuing the horizon;

　　Round and round he sped.

　　I was disturbed at this;

　　I accosted the man.

　　"It is futile," I said,

　　"You can never --"

　　"You lie," he cried,

　　And ran on.

　　我见过一个人追赶地平线：

　　跑了一圈又一圈。

　　我给搅得不得安宁，

　　上前劝阻那人：

　　“你这是白费气力，

　　你不可能——”

　　“别哄我，”他吼道，

　　继续飞跑。
